Cup, tea and saucer
Teacup and saucer, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain, the cup with a pale green translucency, the saucer with a blue-green translucency; cup standing on a tapered foot rim, rounded bowl flaring slightly at lip, with an ear-shaped loop handle; saucer standing on a tapered foot rim with rounded spreading sides; both painted with a wide border of continuous scrolling foliage in blue and purple, and a frieze of pink roses entwining around a purple line, the upper part with a gilt dotted ground; a rose in the centre of the bowl and saucer; gilt scalloped lip, and gilt and orange dot border inside lip; gilt detail to handle, and gilt band to foot rim.
