Prehistoric stone mould
Disc-shaped stone with square-ended projection on one side and flat-bottomed groove running from the projection to the opposite side (210mm x 18mm x 7mm). The casting face of the mould is shaped and flattened with rounded edges. The underside of the stone is completely smoothed and flattened and very similar to the surface of a quernstone, possibly suggesting the mould was made from a quernstone.
