Jug, terracotta, inset base, pear-shaped body sloping inwards at the shoulder to a concave neck slightly flaring at the lip-rim, simple pinched spout, plain loop handle; transfer-printed in black with to either side of the exterior body a neo-classical scene showing groups of figures, some seated and some standing, clad in flowing classical draperies and tunics, border around the exterior neck of narrow bands of Greek key shapes and stylized husks, unglazed.
