Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim, lobed lip, cushion moulded and slightly curved spreading sides; painted around the edge with a wavy turquoise ribbon intertwined witha garland of flowers in polychrome enamels; turquoise circular band in the centre with flowers intertwined around it, encircling a small flower spray; gilt band to the cavetto with alternating burnished and matt diagonal areas, gilt dentilled lip.
