Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, creamy thick translucency, standing on a tapering foot rim, spreading sides, the rim moulded in regular lobes, with bevelled outer rim; the centre painted with an arrangement of chinoiserie style flowers, in reds, blues and greens, emerging from two rocks, one blue, one pink; the rim painted with floral sprigs in blue and red; chocolate banding to outer rim, above the bevelling.
