Seal impression: Scottish royal
Under a circular baldachin, its hangings (charged semy-de-lis) bunched up at either side, the king (dext.) and queen (sin.) seated, their feet resting upon cushions. The king crowned and vested in a robe charged likewise, wearing the collar of the Order of St Michael with badge or jewel, and holding with both hands a long sceptre flory. The queen likewise, she crowned and wearing a mantle clasped at her breast. In exergue, the date: 1559
