Milk jug, hybrid-paste porcelain, slightly spreading foot-rim, the body with slightly flaring widely fluted sides with lobed oval section, sloping inwards at the shoulder to a raised neck and wide raised spout, high loop handle; transfer-printed in black and in-filled in polychrome enamels with to both sides of the body a Chinoiserie-style scene showing three figures in a garden setting with a further figure looking out of the window of a building to one side, the scenes separated by lobed panels with diaper patterns and stylized flowers, a small floral sprig to either side of the spout, a narrow border of a red foliate pattern to the exterior lip-rim and spout, a puce band to the interior lip-rim and spout, a puce dash and stylized flower head to the handle.
