Abdy, William II (Son of William Abdy I, free by patrimony, 4 April 1781. First mark entered 15 Sep 1790, shortly after his father's death. Second mark (two sizes) entered 16 October 1790. Moved to 11 Wilson Street, Finsbury, London 3 Feb 1821 (previously at father's premises at 5 Oat Lane?). Resigned from Livery and presumably retired, 1823.)
Teapot in unglazed red stoneware with silver angled spout, handle and cover, cylindrical shape, the body tapering from rounded shoulders to the recessed base and surmounted by a short neck; body moulded and incised with a landscape design, the cover engraved with the crest of the Lewis family of St Pierre, Monmouthshire.
