Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1958, containing written notes by Dafydd Slaughter, London, on dialect of Gwent Iscoed and south-west Gwynllwg, Monmouthshire. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
