Post-Medieval silver seal matrix

A small silver post-medieval seal matrix with oval face. The face is engraved in Roman capitals: W T 1615, within a single engraved rope border. The owner’s initials are surmounted by a six-pointed star (some soil remains in engraved design).

The handle takes the form of a dolphin whose tail forms a circular loop for a suspension chain of ribbon.
