Irminger, Johann Jakob (Irminger was the Dresden court silversmith and was closely involved with the Meissen porcelain manufactory during the first decade of its existence, responsible for overseeing design. He is listed in the manufactory personnel list of 1710, where his work is defined as 'so die Inventiones und neuen Desseins besorget', and he was almost solely responsible for the design of Böttger stoneware and porcelain. Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, shallow rim, globular body, c-scroll handle, short, straight spout, domed lid with bead-shaped finial, above rim and on shoulder are borders of applied leaves, border of relief leaves springing from finial on lid, metal filter, inside behind spout.
