Double-sided rag doll made by a miner's child, South Wales, 1913
Rag doll made from blue fabric. Facial features and fingers stitched with white thread. Wearing a hat made from leather and plaited straw. Double-sided. One side wears a white cotton dress/pinafore. The other side has gold braid stitched down the centre and on the cuus to represent a military jacket. Cylindrical piece of wood attached to the belt (weapon holder?). Description in Register - Rag. Made by a miner's child, bought at Sth. Wales Rag Fair.
