Side plate, fine white bone china with good translucency, octagonal in shape, with scalloped corners; the border of the saucer printed with sillouhetted, stippled effect outdoor scenes in black/very dark brown with a plain painted line forming a border along the bottom edge, at each corner of the saucer are hand-painted tree sillouhettes in black enamel, these extend to the well, where the roots meet an expanse of solid ground, extending around the saucer's well, between the trees are panels painted in pale yellow, at the top edge of which is a rising sun in red-orange enamel.
