ss STAVROS (4853gt) : Built 1925 by Furness Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Haverton Hill on Tees, as ASHLEIGH (2) for Tatem Steam Navigation Co. Ltd (W.J. Tatem, managers), Cardiff. 1936 – Sold to Counties Ship Management Co. Ltd., London and renamed KINGSTON HILL. 1937 – Sold to Kassos Steam Navigation Co. Ltd., Greece and renamed STAVROS (managed by Pnevmaticos, Rethymnis & Yannaghas). 1953 – Sold to Santiago Steamship Co. Ltd., Costa Rica , and renamed ATENAS. 1960 – Sold to Cia. De Nav. Victoria Neptuno SA. Panama, and renamed AMU DARYA. In 1962 she was sold at Pusan to Japanese shipbreakers and sailed in the April to Osaka to be broken up.
