Medieval pottery jug
Fully reduced gritty core and orange inner surface and externally green glazed with an applied clay strip (of presumably a different clay source) which has been separately painted over with a brown lead glaze. About thirteenth or fourteenth century. Similar decoration to a jug from Cardiff castle. Possibly produced in Cardiff or a Gwent example?
