Four poster bed, part of
one of four early 16th century turned posts belonging to Sir Rhys ap Thomas bedstead, profusely carved with heraldic motifs surrounded by decorative patterns including: various Tudor rose motifs, the initials I.D. within a diamond shield; the initials ? I.H.S., a rampant lion within a diamond shield and a raven (the motto of Sir Rhys); joined to the top of the post above is a decorative turned surmount of a lighter coloured wood with carved leaves and at the bottom of the post is added a corner cornice and heavy square section leg and foot with some motif carvings, all probably late 19th century additions
