S.S. GRANGESBERG (4575 Grt.). Built in 1921 by N.V. Lobitsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij Gebroeders Bodewes at the inland town of Lobith near the German border. She was the third vessel to be delivered by this yard. Her owners were Trafik A/B Grangesberg-Oxelosund, of Stockholm. This firm was involved in the transport of Swedish iron ore to ports and harbours outside Sweden. On 19 June 1940, she was captured by a German warship whilst en route from Newcastle to Le Havre with coal, and was condemned as a prize. Subsequently she was renamed Argonaut by Deutsches Reich and managed by Reederei Eugen Friederich of Hamburg. On 29 December 1942, whilst sailing in convoy, she collided with the Norwegian coastal tanker Banco and the German steamer Ceuta in the Bokfjord and went down.
