Puzzle jug
Puzzle jug of red earthenware, standing on a flat base, ovoid body, collar neck, pierced at regular intervals with circular holes, rounded tubular lip rim, pierced three times with small apertures; large, rouded loop handle connecting into lip rim; inscribed on the upper body in rough looped handwriting with 'E Poter Towyn Pottery Rhyl': the lower body unglazed, of matt red earthenware, the neck and handle with a rough and gritty thin glaze with some brown colouration.
