Blue patterned cotton dress (bodice, skirt and sash). Made in 1898 by Miss E. J. Davies of Quarry Villas, Tredegar - a dressmaker who trained at Jolly's of Bath.
The fitted bodice (F80.280.1) is trimmed with yoke and neckband of white lace and black velvet ribbon. Long sleeved. Skirt (F80.280.2) is full at back. Scalloped hemline cut away at intervals to reveal plain blue pleated cotton underneath and a small blue wool fringe. Separate gathered sash (F80.280.3) at waist.
