Figure of Admiral Sir Deans Dundas, white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze, standing on an irregularly shaped oval base, the flat upper part carrying a narrow curving plaque with triangular cut out ends inscribed in raised capitals. Figure well coloured, in naval uniform of black shoes, white trousers, orange sash with a yellow fringe around the waist, black sword with a yellow handle and two rust tassels by left leg, high necked underglaze blue jacket with tails (tails marked on mould but not painted), gilt frogging? and medals on chest, white sash with gilt squares across chest from right shoulder, yellow epaulettes with an orange fringe, naturalistically painted face, grey hair. Figure resting on left leg with right leg slightly forward, right arm bent and holding black cocked hat against his side, left arm resting on upper part of cannon; standing in front of (his right) a white flag pointing upwards and outwards and decorated with large rust squares and with an ochre pole, and on his left a grey cannon also pointing upwards and outwards above a pile of grey shot, and with a gilt wheel behind his legs.
