Medieval human remains
Skeleton of an adult aged 20-24 years: skull, mandible and teeth, scapula, L clavicle, vertebrae, ribs, R humerus, L and R ulna and radius, carpals,metacarpals, phalanges, pelvis, metatarsal. Lower part of body truncated. Possible Iron Age pit burial with associated?LIA/Early Roman pottery, medieval pottery, vessel glass.
Rib fragment and lower R molar removed for isotope analysis by Katie Hemer, Sheffield University, 12/06/09.
