Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy white translucency, and surface of body with brown specks; standing on a tapered foot rim, cushion moulded and straight spreading sides; waved lip; cavetto painted with a bright orange shaped border edged with gilt, with a pink rose in the centre and three around the edge, between three gilt anthemion and scroll motifs; gilt band inside lip.
