JOSIAH P.CRESSEY (1790gt) : N3-S-A1 type vessel built 1943 by Walter Butler Shipbuilders Inc., Superior, Wisconsin, for the US War Shipping Administration, and chartered to the UK’s Ministry of War Transport (MoWT). 1947 – Sold to the People’s Republic of China, and renamed TENG 1403, then CHENG HUO, then HO PING 14. She was sunk by hostile gunfire in the Yangtze River in 1949. (ShipsNostalgia)(Histomar.com)
