Within a trefoiled niche, St Peter with key seated wearing the tiara. Above, under a canopy, a shield: quarterly, 1. and 4. FRANCE (Modern), 2. and 3. ENGLAND; in lateral niches of two storeys angels gaze at the saint. In base, under a rounded arch, the abbot mitred at prayer, between two shields: GLOUCESTER ABBEY (as M98). Inner border cusped.
