VIRGIN ATLANTIC CHALLENGER, slide
Colour film slide showing bows view of record breaking powerboat VIRGIN ATLANTIC CHALLENGER visiting South Dock, Swansea. An attempt was made between the 26th and 29th of June 1986 to secure the Blue Riband but although the record was beaten by two hours the prize was refused on two counts : - (a) the boat had to be refuelled on the way and (b) the vessel could not be regarded as a commercial carrier
