Bisque costume doll from Switzerland. "A girl from Neuchatell going to market"
Bisque head fixed brown eyes, open mouth with five teeth. Short yellow hair. Composition arms, poor quality, with five fingered hands. Stuffed body and legs. Wearing mid blue wool skirt, hemless, gathered at waist, no bodice but white linen kerchief folded around neck and pinned to chest. Under a dark brown cotton twill shawl. pink spotted apron. Long white cotton stickings. Bronze shoes with purple 'buckle' decoration. Cap of white linen, zigzag edge encircled with pink ribbon. Paper label reads ' A Girl from Neuchatel going to Market'.
