Maltese-style cross cast in copper alloy with a brass hanging loop. Obverse: dragon passant at the top; the inscription ‘GWRECSAM’ to the left; shield at the centre, surmounting an all-seeing eye and surrounded by the inscription ‘EISTEDDFOD GENEDLAETHOL CYMRU’; the inscription ‘1881’ to the right; the three druidic bars below each with a different decoration – oak leaves, leek, mistletoe from left to right. Reverse: the inscription ‘John Pritchard, Esq./VICE CHAIRMAN’ is engraved across the centre. ‘RD.105123’ is stamped just below the hanging loop. Front and back surfaces are covered in a clear lacquer
