Roman samian bowl
The rim is coarsely rouletted and everted. The uper zone ornament is a small scroll with seven lobed leaves, tiny rosettes and upright twists. A sherd from Fishbourne attributed to Aquitanus has very similar leaves, while Knorr 1919, Taf. 9, K also by Aquitanus, has a similar scheme of decoration in the upper zone. The fabric and form of the sherd, however, cannot be earlier than Neronian.
