Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base, cylindrical sides, scrolled loop handle; the exterior body covered with a speckled buff-coloured ground against which is reserved to the front of the body a square panel finely painted in polychrome enamels with a landscape with cottages and two figures on a road, the panel enclosed by a gilt border, around the upper and lower exterior body Egyptian-style borders in green, brown and blue enamels, gilt bands around the foot-rim and exterior lip-rim, the interior of the cup covered with a gilt ground apart from the bottom, the handle painted gilt.
