Jar, funerary
Tall jar, buff stoneware with turquoise 'qingbai' glaze, thick footring supporting an elongated ovoid body rising to a tall tapering neck with an incised spiral leading up to a bulge below the rim, the neck covered with applied press-moulded figures, at the bottom a row of fifteen standing bearded men, a long dragon applied around the middle of the neck below which an applied seated figure, a small reclining figure, a hen, a snake (its head missing), a tortoise, a dog and clouds, above it a small seated figure and clouds, four loops under a crimped band below the rim. The cover missing.
