Iron Age pottery vessel
Body sherd 6-8mm thick of hard fabric containing common small calcite inclusions. The external surface is dark brown to black and burnished in places, the internal surface has a more vesicular appearance. This sherd is widening out towards the base of a vessel. Similar to limestone/calcite tempered jars from Llanmelin and Sudbrook (Nash-Williams 1933, 1939).
