Evans, D.J. & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1862 - 1870)
Copper-plate, copper, a flat square, the upperside engraved with to the centre of the square the 'Genoa' pattern showing in the foreground a number of elegantly dressed figures gazing across an expanse of water to a collection of grandiose onion-domed buildings and distant mountains, overhanging trees to both sides of the scene, to the top right of the scene is engraved 'D. J. EVANS & Co / SWANSEA' in a curve around a crown issuing feathers, to the bottom right of the scene is engraved 'GENOA / E. G. & E' with 'GENOA' within an oblong frame with stylised flower heads to all sides and 'E. G. & E' below.
