Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1958, containing detailed notes in Welsh by the Rev. William Phillips (Bangor) describing children's games, local sayings, gwylnos and information about rubbing stones from the Rhosllannerchrugog area, Denbighshire between 1885-1900.
Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
