A Sullivan Ironclad Electric Machine in an anthracite colliery in South Wales. This is the "Gras Isaf" or Little Seam 19" high, and is cut at a speed of a foot a minute to a depth of 4½ feet. More Ironclad machines are used in holing anthractie in various parts of the world than any other make.
