Dish and cover
Pearl glazed earthenware dish, oblong, eight-sided, with ogee-curved profile, and recessed foot ring. At either side a handle-curved upwards from body and straight on top; slightly domed cover, with handle, rectilinear in section, formed of two concave curves joined by a straight section on top. On body and cover transfer printed in underglaze blue with the Swansea Willow Pattern (or Long Bridge pattern) of three arched bridge, pagodas and junks, and, on cover only, the butterfly border. Brown enamelled rims.
