Iron Age pottery vessel
Large body sherd 6-7mm thick of hard fabric containing common small calcite inclusions. The external surface is burnished and varied form grey (possibly burnt) to black. The black internal surface has a vesicualr appearance. Similar to limestone/calcite tempered jars from Llanmelin and Sudbrook (Nash-Williams 1933, 1939).
