Seal impression: Exeter
Within a niche formed by a crocketed canopy with panelled side shafts, St Peter half-length wearing the tiara, holding aloft in his right hand a model of a church, in his left ? a primatial cross. Beneath him, a wall within which an open door. Above the canopy, to either side of the central pinnacle, a small star. In field, dext. the sword of St Paul; sin. the keys of St Peter, bits uppermost. In base, under a rounded arch with a small star to either side, a lion’s face crowned.
