Plate, earthenware, circular shape with slightly raised squared-off foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim; transfer-printed in mauve with the 'Floral' pattern, to the centre of the well a Venetian-style scene showing in the foreground three figures seated by a moored boat, in the background a canal and quayside with sailing boats, gondolas and classical buildings, Romanesque church in the distance, border to the rim of entwined convulvulus on a mauve ground.
