Plate, soft-paste 'trident' porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim, curved sides, and everted lip with eight notches; transfer-printed with the 'Famille Rose' pattern - oriental style design of flowering plants issuing from rockwork; filled in with famille rose coloured enamels ; an iron red and gilt patterned surround, with four reserves of pink petals; edge of plate with a border of flower sprays, and a 'Vandyke' patterned lip in gilt with an iron red outline.
