S.S. SEASIDE (7130gt). ‘Canadian’ type cargo ship built 1945 as SEVEN OAKS PARK by Victoria Machinery Depot Co. Ltd., Victoria, B.C. (engine by Allis-Chalmers Ltd., Montreal), for Park Steamship Co., Montreal (managed by Seaboard Shipping Co., Vancouver). 1946 – Sold to Andros Shipping Co., Montreal, and renamed SEASIDE. 1952 – Sold to Escobal Cia. Nav., Panama, and renamed RUBYSTAR. 1956 – Sold to Cia. Armadora San Francisco SA, Panama, and renamed LAGOS HURON. She sank on 26th June1960, after springing a leak during a typhoon off Luzon Island in the Philippines.
