Rev. William Ambrose (Emrys), Nefyn, Caernarfonshire. Mounted as a miniature. Rev. William Ambrose (Emrys) was a minister and a poet who founded several churches and was a regular competitor and winner in the eisteddfodau. He was born in Bangor in 1813 and died in Porthmadoc, where he was minister of the independent chapel, in 1873.
