Late Bronze Age bronze sword
Upper blade fragment of sword, whose sides expand slightly (concave curve) at the lower break end towards middle blade section. In side view, there is slight bending near lower break, but no sign of impact damage. Both break cross sections have gently rounded mid sections bordered by concave outer sections to slightly bevelled edges, giving a lenticular form. Blade edges are mostly preserved, although some damage towards hilt ends. Striations along blade edge indicate sharpening. Notching visible indicating use wear. Green patina with small amount of lighter green carbonate encrustation.
