Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Bowl, earthenware, standing on a high straight-sided tapering foot-rim, rounded curving sides; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior of the bowl the 'Two temples' pattern, a large pagoda surrounded by oriental trees and with two figures on a bridge over a river to one side of it, in the foreground an oriental fence and in the background further oriental buildings and trees on islands in an expanse of water, wide border to the interior and exterior sides of stylized moths, greek key shapes and elaborate scrolls enclosing scale and lattice patterns.
