Jug of brown earthenware, partially covered with a mottled green lead glaze; standing on a flat slightly spreading base, with bulbous body and spreading, slightly pan-topped rim; round the belly seven applied vertical strips decorated with series of indentations; applied studs between these strips, below the rim and at random over the rest of the jug; a 'parrot-beak' spout applied over a V-cut in the rim; strap handle; prominent throwing rings.
