Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, fairly shallow bowl with rounded sides, plain loop handle; finely painted in black monochrome with to one side of the exterior of the cup a small scene showing a goat and a sheep reclining on a patch of ground, and to the other side a small scene showing a gnarled and blasted oak tree, a gilt dentil band around the foot-rim, around the interior lip-rim a rococo border in gilt and black enamel. The handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical tapering foot-rim, curving sides; finely painted in black monochrome with to the centre of the well a small scene showing a sheep standing by the side of a blasted tree and a slab of stone, to the rim a rococo border in gilt and black enamel.
