Milk jug
Milk jug, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a foot rim, bulbous shape with a ridge at the shoulder; curved beak spout with a scalloped edge moulding; square shouldered loop handle with a thumb spur and lower outer spur, extending above lip; painted with a variation of set pattern 223, underglaze blue flowers with gilt decoration, and red and pink flowers, green foliage, all around the body; underglaze blue and gilt shaped border to lip, with plain gilt bands to foot rim, shoulder ridge, lip and outline of spout moulding; gilt foliate sprigs on the handle.
