Jug and cover
Jug, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, bulbous body tapering inwards at the neck, plain beak spout, double intertwined handle with foliate moulding at the terminals, round domed cover with to the top a knob-shaped finial; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior body of the jug four classical figures, two dancing and two playing musical instruments, around the exterior neck of the jug and the sides of the cover classical borders in black and gilt, gilt lines around the foot, lip-rim and the rim of the cover, the handle picked out in gilt, the finial painted in gilt. The spout broken and repaired.
