Tea bowl and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, tea bowl standing on a foot rim, tall sides tapering inwards at base, slightly everted lip; decorated in polychrome enamels with two birds perching on a branch, one with brown feather and a red head with its wings half outstretched, opposite a spray of purple and orange flowers and two leaf sprigs, gilt border to foot rim and lip. Saucer standing on a foot rim, spreading sides, slightly everted lip; decorated in polychrome enamels, in the centre with two birds on a branch, one with a red breast and black wings, the other with a dark red breast (to right), surrounded by four flower sprigs, two blue and two purple, gilt border to lip.
