Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Jug, octagonal pouch shaped, lip moulded with a leaf, moulded strap handle, in two parts forming thumbpiece, handle grooved and with dogs nose terminal. Jug decorated in black transfer with a 'CUBA' pattern vignette on either side, of a man and a woman standing looking over water to a ornate chalet style building, tree in foreground to left and ornamental urn. Border around inside and outside of rim of flowers, strawberries, jui motifs etc, floral spray on outer side of handle. Damaged lip and chipped rim.
