Roman copper alloy penannular brooch
Pennanular brooch of Fowler (1960) type D though the decoration of the terminals, two transverse grooves, does not really fit any of the sub-categories. The front of the ring has grooves running round both edges, with the central portion decorated by a series of slight transverse notches. The back is plain and more or less flat, as is the pin.
